Since 1979 · 23 States · 950+ Campuses

Every dream deserves a school that believes in it.

Seven students in a single Nellore classroom. Today, six lakh learners every day. Narayana was built on one stubborn idea — that ambition should never be limited by a postcode.

A network large enough to matter. Local enough to know your child’s name.

One classroom in Nellore, compounded over forty‑seven years. The reach is national; the conviction is still the one we started with.

02 — Legacy

From seven students to six hundred thousand.

In 1979, Dr. P. Narayana opened a door in Nellore and seven students walked through it. Everything since has been an argument for what happens when you refuse to lower the bar.

1979

One room. Seven students.

Dr. P. Narayana, then a part‑time lecturer, opens a coaching centre in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The register has seven names on it.

1990s

Junior colleges arrive.

The model proves itself across Andhra Pradesh. Junior colleges follow the coaching centres, and the integrated method — board syllabus plus competitive prep — takes shape.

A national reputation.

Narayana becomes a household name for JEE and NEET preparation. Students from across India relocate to sit in its classrooms.

Schools, not just results.

The CBSE school network expands to 23 states. eKidz, eChamps and eTechno are authored — a curriculum that grows with the child rather than the exam calendar.

The digital leap.

nLearn and nConnect go live. Lessons, tests, analytics and parent communication move onto one platform — and stay there long after the classrooms reopen.

Fifty‑two new campuses.

One of the largest single‑year expansions in Indian schooling: 52 new campuses opened across 12 states, most of them in cities that had never had a school of this standard.

03 — Academics

Four programmes. One continuous arc.

A child at five and a child at seventeen need entirely different things from a school. So we stopped pretending one curriculum could serve both.

01 / eKidz

A joyful start.

Pre‑primary · Ages 3–6

Child‑centric by design. Safe, hygienic, colour‑soaked spaces where the first years of school feel like play — because at this age, play is the syllabus.

  • Play‑led, activity‑first learning
  • Safe & hygienic dedicated spaces
  • Motor, language & social milestones
Young children at an activity table
02 / eChamps

Curiosity, built to last.

Primary · Ages 6–11

The foundation years. Experiential and activity‑based, with hands‑on projects and tech‑enabled lessons that build conceptual understanding rather than recall.

  • Experiential, concept‑first method
  • Hands‑on projects & investigations
  • Tech‑enabled classroom lessons

03 / eTechno

Rigour, without the fear.

Middle & Secondary · Ages 11–16

CBSE depth kept fully intact, with link concepts woven in to lay real IIT‑JEE and Olympiad groundwork. Academic rigour, mental wellness and competitive exposure held in balance.

  • CBSE + link concepts, integrated
  • Olympiad & JEE foundation track
  • Wellness built into the timetable

04 / Sr. Secondary

The launch years.

Grades XI–XII · JEE · NEET · CA · Civil Services

Where four decades of competitive‑exam craft become a daily routine: micro‑schedules, weekly assessment, and a mentor who knows exactly which chapter is costing you marks.

  • Career streams: Engineering, Medical, CA, IAS
  • Micro‑schedules & weekly assessment
  • One dedicated mentor per student

04 — The Narayana Edge

Seven things we refuse to leave to chance.

01 / 07
  1. 01

    Integrated Curriculum

CBSE, state board and competitive‑exam syllabi are not taught as three separate things. They are authored into one sequence, so a concept learned for the board exam is the same concept that answers a JEE question.

  2. 02

    Age‑Appropriate Programmes

eKidz, eChamps, eTechno and Senior Secondary — four distinct programmes, each matched to a developmental stage rather than a convenient grade band.

  3. 03

    Well‑Planned Microschedules

Every subject is broken into micro‑schedules that pace comprehension concept by concept. Nobody is asked to move on before the ground underneath them is solid.

  4. 04

    Pioneering R&D Team

A full‑time academic research team authors personalised study plans from pre‑primary through higher secondary, and rewrites them as boards and entrance patterns shift.

  5. 05

    Adoption Calling

One dedicated mentor per student, who calls the student and the parents every two weeks — not to report marks, but to find the problem before it becomes a pattern.

  6. 06

    Tech‑Enabled Framework

nLearn, digital classrooms and performance analytics that make progress visible — to the teacher, to the student, and to the family at home.

  7. 07

    Our Fraternity

50,000+ teachers and staff. The word we use internally is family, and the Adoption Calling programme is what stops that from being a poster on a wall.

05 — Digital Campus

The school doesn’t close at 3pm.

Four platforms that carry the classroom home — and carry the home back into the classroom.

nLearn

Question‑led practice built around four loops — Learn with video tutorials and concept cards, Test with timed weekend mocks, Practice with customised solution sets, and Performance analytics that isolate speed, accuracy and rank.

App

nConnect

An in‑house app for seamless parent–school communication. Attendance, assessments, fees, circulars and mentor notes in one thread.

Robotics

Build, break, debug, repeat. Robotics labs where abstract STEM turns into something a child can hold in their hands.

07 — Beyond the Classroom

Marks are the evidence. They were never the point.

nSports

An age‑appropriate sports programme

Structured across every year group, for physical well‑being and — just as deliberately — for the break from academics that makes the academics work.

Disha

Mental wellness counselling

Trained counsellors on campus to counter negativity and give timely guidance — before a hard week becomes a hard year.

Soft Skills

Confidence & communication

A dedicated programme in public speaking, collaboration and personality development — the part of the CV no board exam grades.

Our founder started with a sentence, not a business plan: every child deserves the same standard of teaching, whether their family can afford a metro or not. Forty‑seven years and 950 campuses later, it is still the only KPI that matters.
